Effective 20 August 2026
Cookie Policy
Three kinds, two of them optional and off by default. Refusing is exactly as easy as accepting, on this page and in the banner.
Your choice
Set it here. This is the same control that appears in the banner, and both options carry equal weight — one click either way, no dark pattern, nothing pre-ticked.
You have not chosen yet. Until you do, only the strictly necessary cookies are set.
What a cookie is here
A small file a site stores in your browser. We use the term loosely to include similar technologies such as local storage, which is what actually holds your cookie choice. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 we may set what is strictly necessary without asking; anything else needs your agreement first, and needs to be as easy to refuse as to accept.
Strictly necessary
These run whatever you choose, because without them the site does not work. There are three.
- Session — keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Deleted when you sign out, otherwise after 30 days.
- Security — a token that prevents another site from submitting forms as you. Lasts for the session.
- Your cookie choice — remembers what you decided on this page, so you are not asked again. Kept in local storage for 12 months. Refusing everything optional still stores this one, because otherwise we would have to keep asking.
Analytics
Optional. Off unless you turn them on. Aggregate counts of which pages are visited and which features are used, so we can tell what is worth improving. No profile is built, nothing is used to identify you, and nothing is passed to an advertising network. Kept for up to 13 months.
Marketing
Optional. Off unless you turn them on. Salonfeed currently sets no marketing cookies at all. The category exists so that if that ever changes it is already covered by a choice you have made rather than one we assume. If it does change, we will ask again rather than relying on a permission given for something else.
Third parties
The site loads typefaces from a font service and is served through a content delivery network, and payment pages are provided by our payment provider. Those services necessarily see the request your browser makes, including your IP address. They are not used to track you across other sites on our behalf, and we do not set advertising cookies through them.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of everything optional and as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information — of which there is none in any case. You do not need to do anything else, and the banner will not override it.
Changing your mind
Come back to this page and change the setting. It takes effect immediately, and withdrawing agreement is exactly as easy as giving it.
Browser controls
Every browser can block or delete cookies, and most can be set to reject them by default. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop you being able to sign in. Instructions live in your browser’s own help pages.
Changes
If we add a cookie in an optional category, we will ask for your agreement before setting it and update this page. Questions to support@aestheticsbystephan.com.
